It is browser-based, no installation required, and offered exclusively to businesses (B2B).

REPORTIFUL is built by Marketing Surfer GmbH, a German company founded by Christian Bock - a marketing leader with more than 20 years of running international marketing organizations, with teams across Japan, Europe and North America and campaigns in over 30 countries. REPORTIFUL was born from that experience: teams everywhere losing hours turning campaign exports into client-ready reports. It is developed and hosted in Germany (EU) and GDPR-compliant. How does REPORTIFUL work?

Three steps. First, upload your marketing data file (XLSX, XLS, CSV, or TSV). Second, pick a report type (Monthly Performance, Quarterly Business Review, Campaign Analysis, SEO, Paid Media, Social Media, or Email Marketing), a writing tone (Strategic, Data-Forward, Casual, or Executive Brief), the sections to include, and your client branding (logo, colours, name). Third, click Generate. Typically 2-3 minutes later (up to 6 minutes for large data sets) you can review the report online and download it as DOCX, PPTX, or PDF.

Typically 2-3 minutes per report, and large data sets up to 6 minutes. Multi-report batches process one report at a time, so total time scales linearly with the number of reports.

REPORTIFUL offers seven report types: Monthly Performance Report, Quarterly Business Review, Campaign Analysis, SEO Report, Paid Media Report, Social Media Report, and Email Marketing Report. Each type uses a section structure tuned for that audience. You can also override the section selection for any report type.

Do I need to use a specific upload template?

No. REPORTIFUL works with any spreadsheet. Tested formats include exports from Looker Studio (renamed back to Data Studio in April 2026), Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Databox - and manually-built spreadsheets. As long as your file has identifiable headers and data rows, it works.

What file formats can I upload?

REPORTIFUL supports XLSX, XLS, CSV, and TSV files. Files can have multiple sheets; on upload you will be prompted to either combine the tabs into one report or generate a separate report per tab. Up to 5 files (or 10 datasets) per session. We handle data in any language and both European (comma-decimal) and American (period-decimal) number formats.

Is there a file size limit?

The standard limit is 500 rows and 100 columns per report (1 credit). If your file exceeds this you can choose to process the full file using additional credits, process only the first 500 rows and 100 columns for 1 credit, or upload a trimmed file. The absolute maximum is 100,000 rows, 1,000 columns, and 50 MB file size.

What export formats are available?

Reports can be exported as PDF (print-ready with embedded charts), Microsoft Word (.docx), and Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx). All exports include your branding and maintain professional formatting. DOCX and PPTX exports are fully editable - open them in Word or PowerPoint and adjust text, charts, or layout before sending to the client.

Can I customise the reports?

Yes. You can customise the report type (Monthly Performance, QBR, Campaign Analysis, SEO, Paid Media, Social Media, Email Marketing), the writing tone (Strategic, Data-Forward, Casual, or Executive Brief), which sections to include (executive summary, key metrics, channel breakdown, insights, recommendations, and others), free-text additional context to guide the AI, and your client branding (logo, colours, company name). You can save any combination as a reusable template, so monthly recurring reports become a one-click job.

Can I edit the generated DOCX or PPTX afterwards?

Yes. The exported DOCX and PPTX files are standard Microsoft Office documents - you can open them in Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Slides, Pages, or Keynote and edit any text, replace any chart, or adjust the layout before sending to the client. The PDF export is also editable in tools like Adobe Acrobat, but DOCX or PPTX is the more flexible route.

Can I white-label the reports and remove REPORTIFUL branding?

Yes. The generated DOCX, PPTX, and PDF documents are fully white-label: your company or agency name and logo appear on every page, with no REPORTIFUL branding. You set the logo, colours, and company name once per template; recurring reports inherit them automatically.

Can I use REPORTIFUL for multiple clients?

Yes. Each report can be generated for a different client - just specify the client name, period, and upload the relevant data. You can save a reusable template per client so recurring monthly or quarterly reports take one click, with the client's branding (logo, colours, name) and section preferences carried over automatically.

Can I use data in different languages?

Yes. REPORTIFUL processes data in any language - German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, and many more - and correctly handles both European (comma-decimal) and American (period-decimal) number formats. Generated reports are currently output in English; multi-language report output is on the roadmap.

How accurate is the AI? Can I trust the numbers in the report?

All numerical aggregates - period totals, weighted averages, percentages, period-over-period changes - are computed in code from your source data, not by the AI. The AI receives the correct numbers as inputs and is instructed to use them verbatim in prose; it does not do arithmetic. This avoids the common 'AI got the math wrong' failure mode seen in other LLM-powered reporting tools. The text and interpretation are AI-written and should still be reviewed before sending to a client.

How does REPORTIFUL generate the reports?

REPORTIFUL is an engine of multiple components in sequence. It includes, for example: First, a deterministic data engine parses your spreadsheet, classifies columns (dimensions, metrics, ratios), and pre-computes verified totals and weighted aggregates. Second, a marketing-specific knowledge base supplies report templates, KPI interpretation rules, and recommendation patterns developed by experienced marketers. Third, an AI writer composes the narrative - executive summary, insights, recommendations - using the verified numbers from step one and the structure from step two. Charts and final document formatting happen client-side in your browser. This separation is why the numbers in a REPORTIFUL report come from your actual data, the structure comes from marketing expertise, and only the writing is AI-assisted.

What if the generated report contains errors?

Numerical errors should be rare because numbers come from your source data, not from the AI. Interpretation errors - misreading a trend, misclassifying a campaign, over-confident recommendations - are possible because the engine does not have the full context that you have. We recommend reviewing every report before sending to a client; that is true of any AI-assisted document. How does the credit system work?

Each standard report costs 1 credit. Credits are purchased in prepaid packages: there are no subscriptions or recurring charges, and unused credits do not expire. For files exceeding the standard limit, additional credits are charged proportionally; you are always informed of the exact cost before generating.

What does REPORTIFUL cost?

REPORTIFUL uses pay-per-report pricing with no subscription. A single credit costs 29 EUR (1 report). A 10-pack costs 199 EUR (19.90 EUR per report, save 31%). A 50-pack costs 749 EUR (14.98 EUR per report, save 48%). The first 3 reports on every new account are free, and unused credits never expire. There are no recurring charges.

Question 20

Can I get a refund?

REPORTIFUL is offered exclusively to businesses (entrepreneurs within the meaning of section 14 of the German Civil Code), so the consumer right of withdrawal does not apply. We do refund unused credits at our reasonable discretion - for example, where the service has been substantially unavailable due to a problem on our side. Reports already generated cannot be refunded. To request a refund please contact us.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your raw data file is parsed entirely in your browser and never uploaded as a file. To generate the report, a sample of the parsed rows (up to 500) is sent via encrypted TLS to our backend for analysis. Our AI sub-processor does not store this input or use it for model training. The generated report is saved to your Report History in our EU database (Frankfurt), protected by database-level row security so you can only access your own data. You can delete any individual report or your entire account at any time.

What happens to my uploaded data?

The raw uploaded file (the XLSX or CSV) is parsed entirely in your browser and is not stored on our servers - only a sample of the parsed rows is transmitted for analysis, and our AI sub-processor does not retain it. What we do store on our database (Frankfurt, EU): your account, the generated reports so you can re-open them in your Report History, any saved templates, and a small amount of metadata (signup attribution, credit transactions). You can delete individual reports, individual templates, or your whole account at any time from the app.

Does REPORTIFUL train AI models on my data?

Accepted Answer

No. We use an AI sub-processor on its zero-data-retention API tier. Your input is not stored or used for model training. We do not train any models of our own on customer data. Your reports and uploaded data exist only in your account and are deleted when you delete them.

Where are my generated reports stored, and for how long?

Accepted Answer

Reports you generate are saved to your Report History in our database (region: Frankfurt, EU). They are kept for 180 days, after which they automatically expire. You can delete any individual report from the Report History panel, or delete your entire account at any time - the data is irreversibly erased within 30 days (the technical erasure window for replicas and rolling backups), except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records under section 147 of the German Tax Code).

Is REPORTIFUL GDPR compliant?

Yes. We are fully compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We minimise data collection, process data in-browser where possible, have Data Processing Agreements with all sub-processors, and provide full data subject rights (access, deletion, portability). Our service is offered exclusively to businesses.

REPORTIFUL and live-dashboard tools (Looker Studio / Data Studio, Databox, Whatagraph, Google Analytics 4) serve different jobs. Dashboards monitor performance continuously and live in the browser. REPORTIFUL produces a polished one-shot DOCX, PPTX, or PDF document for end-of-month client delivery, with executive summary, narrative, and recommendations. Most marketing teams use both.
